Canadian Design Brand Unveils Prototype at Toronto Design Offsite Festival 2016

(Toronto, ON) Warehouse, a design brand from Ottawa, Ontario, is putting one of its latest projects on display as part of the Outside the Box (Ottawa) installation at the Toronto Design Offsite Festival, January 18th-24th, 2016. This particular installation will be located at Stylegarage, 78 Ossington Avenue, Toronto.

Echo is a set of headphones designed for a year-round Canadian lifestyle. Made with Canadian materials - maple wood, leather, and rabbit fur - Echo is light and minimal in the spring and summer months, and provides a warm listening experience in the colder fall and winter months.

“Our use of Canadian rabbit fur and leather show the contrast of nature’s materials versus the electronic and intangible aspects of the audio and speaker components.” explains Rohan Thakar, Co-CEO of Warehouse. “Ottawa is very much a city of extremes thanks to the nature that surrounds us, so we wanted to model this relationship in our design.”

The ‘Outside the Box’ installation will travel to Brooklyn May 7th to 17th, 2016. For more information about the Toronto Design Offsite Festival, go to
